Oral-B electric toothbrushes include a 2-minute timer to help you brush for the dentist-recommended 2 minutes. With most models, the brush will stutter or shake briefly every 30 seconds to let you know it’s time to move to another area of your mouth, and then after 2 minutes it won’t shut off but will simply stutter a little more noticeably to let you know that you’ve brushed for the recommended time. With Vitality models, the brush will stutter just once -- after the 2 minutes is up.
When you are done brushing, you’ll need to manually press the on/off switch to turn the toothbrush off, otherwise it will stay switched on, except for Oral-B iO models which stop after 5 minutes. We don’t have an automatic cut-off because you might want to continue brushing to make sure you’ve got as good a clean as you’d like. After all, it’s your toothbrush to use as you wish!
